TROUBLESHOOTING:

We're sorry if you've had any trouble with your subwoofer. All SubSolutions have a one year warranty against any type of defect. (Even if you should have a problem in the future, we have an "out of warranty accommodation repair" service that is just $45 flat rate (on single-driver units), which includes completely upgrading your unit with our newest designed driver, re-sealing, repainting, and return shipping to you.)

Speakers with manufacturing defects normally fail within the first few hours. It is possible that the amp could be at fault. Things to check for: Make sure the power and ground connections to the amp (at the amp and at the battery and grounding screw) are good and tight. Any loose connections on power cables can cause low voltage to the amp which makes the amp put out square waves (distortion) which can damage speakers. Also, the same result can come from listening loud or long with the engine off, due to battery voltage dropping. Another thing to check for, is if there is any bass boost circuit in the amp. If so, you'll find it will sound better and last longer with these linear subs, if that switch or knob is turned off. (you may want to turn the gain up a little, or the gain on the high frequency amp down a little after defeating any bass boost that may have been on)  Also, be sure the low-pass crossover is set to 70-80 hz.

Be sure to let us know if you have any questions upon install. And we always love to hear any feedback from you of any kind.

Sincerely,

The Acoustic Solutions Team
